“For I know well the plans I have in mind for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for woe, so as to give you a future of hope.
When you call me, and come and pray to me, I will listen to you. When you look for me, you will find me.
Yes, when you seek me with all your heart, I will let you find me, and I will change your lot; I will gather you together from all the nations and all the places to which I have banished you and bring you back to the place from which I have exiled you.” -Jeremiah 29:11-14
This occasionally-overused scripture passage has been my comfort this Lent. I’ve not been blogging for the past week, and I’m sorry about that. But only kind of sorry.
You see, amidst the million changes in my life, I found a job opening that I really want to apply for. Two, actually. So while I haven’t been blogging, I’ve been busy writing and re-writing letters of interest and resumes. It’s taken a lot of work, but I think I have some good things to offer, so I’m hopeful something good will come out of it.
Really, the short answer is this: God’s timing couldn’t be more perfect, and I’m starting to see his plan in all this… there are so many good opportunities available to me right now, and I can’t wait for the awesome experiences right out my back door.
Wish me luck! I’ll be back again when I get these paperworks done and over with. Priorities.
