“Although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to the childlike.” -Luke 10:21
Throughout Luke 10, Jesus sends disciples to go out and spread the Good News. I bet they didnt provide complex theological discourses to the general population. I imagine they talked, person to person, over a nice big meal, about everyday life. About how Jesus had changed their lives for the better.
We can throw around big theological phrases like incarnation, pascal mystery, soteriology… but that’s not what we’re called to do, is it? At least, not at the core of it. We are called to be simple, childlike persons first. We are called to share hope with our community.
What does it mean to be childlike? What’s one thing you can do right now to live a simpler life? How can you connect your hope to your community?
